The moment during the day when you very first open your eyes and come into consciousness is a precious opportunity. It sets the tone for all that comes after it.
At this moment, your ability to create the day is at its most powerful, and you can offer yourself fully to the creative process by filling this moment with whatever inspires you the most.
“So during those first moments of the day, which are yours and yours alone, you can circumvent these boundaries and concentrate fully on spiritual matter. And this gives you the opportunity to plan the time management of the day.”
It may be that you want to be more generous, or it may be that you want to be more open to beauty in your daily life – living more mindfully.
“Each morning when we awake, we have an opportunity to create our day with what inspires us the most.”
Sometimes you wake up with a mood already seemingly in place, and it’s important to give this feeling its due. It can inform you and deepen your awareness of what’s going on inside you, as well as around you.
When I woke up this morning, I felt drained so I tuned in to my body and decided to rest (especially as I know I will be attending an intense workshop this weekend). I even skipped the gym!
You may want to decide what you want to bring to the next day of your life before you go to bed. Before I go to bed, I’ll spend a few minutes journaling in my gratitude journal, however when I wake up the next morning, I’ll spend a good half hour planning out my day in my Desire Map Planner aligned with how I want to feel.
By being aware of those first moments, you set the stage for a more conscious, enlivened experience, and you become action I have a participant in the creation of your life.

Exercise
The first hour after you wake up is the most influential time, so it’s important to have a mindful routine and ritual to make your mind, body and spirit happy.
SIMPLE STEPS TO CREATE AN AMAZING MORNING RITUAL:
- Set your alarm right – Don’t hit the snooze!
- Get stretching!
- Have a glass of water
- Begin with Mindfulness, do some meditation
- Do some exercise: HIIT, Yoga, Running, go for a Walk – Whatever works for you
- Have a refreshing shower
- Dress to impress – even if you’re working from home
- Have a nourishing breakfast
- Watch or listen to something inspirational
- Do some journaling – empty your mind
- Plan your day ahead
