This is a reminder that you’re allowed to do the *bare minimum* in some areas of your life. I workout, and I (thankfully) really enjoy the workouts that I do, but will I push myself to do the alternative harder positions at pilates?
Nah. I showed up. That’s all I ask of myself. The bare minimum gives me what I need – so ~ no ~.
- If you’re cleaning your house, it doesn’t need to be spotless, it can just be functional.
- If you’re planning your week, it doesn’t need to be an immaculate, detailed plan (tbh the best plans allow for chaos), it can just be a basic list.
- If you’re cooking your weekly meals, they don’t need to be remotely interesting – they can be pre-chopped veggies, pre-sauteed tofu and packet rice.
You don’t need to (and most people simply aren’t able to) show up with 100% effort in every area of life. Give yourself some grace.
If my words have helped you, a small contribution here will allow them to continue reaching the women who need them most. Also, don't forget to join me on Substack, where I share my Love Notes, a gentle pause in your week to reflect, realign, and reconnect in midlife. It’s not just another newsletter; it’s an intimate circle where I offer fresh intentions, soulful prompts, and simple but powerful shifts to inspire purposeful, creative living. Together, we’ll uncover the small but meaningful changes that help you design a life that feels beautifully your own.
