Creating Positive Reframing Habits

One of my favourite quotes is “If you have problems, change their name into challenges and find solutions“. This is an example of a reframe.

Some good examples of other reframe are:

  • Problems = Challenges
  • Nervousness = Excitement
  • Failures = Learnings

But sometimes you need to dig for an alternative reframe that’s the best fit for you. You can do this by coming up with a list of reframing questions, like:

  • How would someone who really enjoys being in this situation frame it?
  • What would you be missing out on if you didn’t have this situation in your life?
  • What advice would you give to someone else who was handling this situation?

Having a list of questions like this will help you reshuffle the way that you think about negative situations in your life.
