Daily Dose of Inspiration

If not now, then when?

Too many of us postpone creating the life we truly desire for ourselves because we’re waiting for things to be perfect.

When I lose the weight I’ll upgrade my wardrobe… when I get that promotion I’ll drive that car… when the kids leave home I’ll take that trip… when I pay off my debt I’ll look after my skin better…

When I [fill in the blank] then I’ll [fill in the blank].

You’re all hearing me right?!

And it’s certainly great to reward ourselves when we reach our goals.

But the truth is we make it so much harder to reach our goals when we postpone creating the life we see for ourselves once we’ve reached them.

Why? Because it’s never the goal that we’re really chasing.

Stay with me on this…

It’s never really the goal itself, it’s how we’ll feel when we reach that goal.

It’s how we deeply desire to feel about ourselves as a woman, to see ourselves as a woman – that is what we’re really chasing.

Goals are simply a mechanism to help us learn how to step into that version of ourselves.

So when we hold our deeper desires to ransom and put all our focus on achieving the goal itself, we miss the greater opportunity.

The reality is, that we only ever create results in our lives to the limits of the woman we perceive ourselves to be, of what we believe is possible for ourselves.

So if we never upgrade how we see ourselves, we will always end up creating the same results in our lives. It doesn’t matter how many goals you set, or how hard you try to achieve them.

Upgrade your wardrobe now… Drive the car you want now…. Take the trip now… Look after your skin now…

Create the feeling you want to feel when you’ve achieved your goals and rewarded yourself with that “thing” now.

Become the version of you who feels exactly the way you desire to feel for yourself “one day”, one day when…

Become her now.

Because if not now, then when?

When will you become the version of the woman you really aspire to be? My friend that’s the version of you who has achieved her goals.

It’s never the goals first, it’s always who you want to become that comes first.

Create that version of yourself now, feel the way you want to feel now, and your goals will look after themselves.
