Be Patient with Yourself

Sometimes, we need a little reminder. I like to call them “personal mantras.” Short statements like this one “I am learning.” Or “I can be patient with myself.” Or both!!!

  1. Repeat it out loud
  2. Reflect on it
  3. Notice how it makes you feel…

It’s easy to discredit ourselves, always needing to know the correct answers. But, sometimes, we need to pause and reflect and think, hmm… maybe I don’t know yet, because I don’t have all the facts or information or experience.

“I AM LEARNING.”

This mantra can be applicable to most things in life because we’re not all experts all the time. And even when we are experts we might feel like imposters or we might think we need to be even better or be experts or maybe perfectionism gets in the way.

This mantra “I am learning” is one that you can use all the time in almost all circumstances.

Try saying it out loud to yourself, notice it – how does it feel?

Does it resonate I love to know in the comments below to let me know if this makes sense and if you are willing to try accepting that we are all learning and we can be patient with ourselves?

If my words have helped you, a small contribution here will allow them to continue reaching the women who need them most.
