I’ve doubted myself on more occasions than I can remember.
But when we doubt ourselves we hold ourselves back from creating the extraordinary results in our life we truly desire.
A certain level of self-doubt is good because it indicates that you understand what you need to improve in order to achieve your goals.
However, persistent self-doubt will often prevent you from taking the necessary action to make those improvements.
It’s this inaction that is keeping you stuck!
So how can you overcome self-doubt?
One of the ways I have found useful over the years is to break the word doubt into two parts:
DOUBT
“DO” + “UBT”
Then I think about each part like this – in order to “DO” the things I want to do I simply need to remove the “UBT”.
“UBT” are the Unhelpful (“U”) Beliefs (“B”) and Thoughts (“T”) that are creating our feeling of doubt, which in turn is preventing us from taking the action we need to take.
So the first step in overcoming self-doubt is to understand the unhelpful beliefs and thoughts that are causing you to feel doubtful and then do the work to remove them.
By working to remove the “UBT” you will gain the confidence to “DO” the things you need to take action on in your life in order to create the results you desire.
So remember, if you want to DO more and DOUBT is holding you back, simply remove the UBT!
If my words have helped you, a small contribution here will allow them to continue reaching the women who need them most.
