If I didn’t have ‘meaning’ in my life, especially during challenging times in life, I think I would have struggled to recover from stress, anxiety, and panic.
I discovered that I had been suppressing a lot of my ‘meaning’ for a long time in the desire for others to fulfil theirs. It was only after I got divorced and moved to another country that I started to focus on myself.
When I gave myself the space, I was able to explore what gave ME inner contentment.
When we have a purpose it improves our mental health, self-worth and confidence. It gives us short and long-term goals to strive for and when we do those activities we are fully absorbed in, it releases positive emotions. Some of the happiest people have purpose and clear goals they strive towards, to give them a sense of personal satisfaction.
If my words have helped you, a small contribution here will allow them to continue reaching the women who need them most. Also, don't forget to join me on Substack, where I share my Love Notes, a gentle pause in your week to reflect, realign, and reconnect in midlife. It’s not just another newsletter; it’s an intimate circle where I offer fresh intentions, soulful prompts, and simple but powerful shifts to inspire purposeful, creative living. Together, we’ll uncover the small but meaningful changes that help you design a life that feels beautifully your own.
