Daily Dose of Inspiration

Treat Yourself & Move Your Body

Exercise ~ moving your recommended 30 minutes each day should be enjoyable! Exercise or physical activity shouldn’t be a form of self-punishment but rather a positive way to nurture your physical and mental health.

Currently, 1 in 4 adults are physically inactive worldwide and this prevalence is increasing. The benefits of physical activity include lower risk for cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high lipid levels in your blood, multiple cancers, dementia, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, bone weakness, falls in older ages, and all-cause mortality.

We are more than a number on a scale. When we think about exercise we should focus on all the amazing things we are doing for our body rather than solely focusing on weight management alone.

What are your favourite ways to exercise and how do you include them in your daily life?
