Life’s changing seasons oftentimes require us to re-prioritise our goals, values, projects and tasks.
Some seasons bring our life into very clear focus and others leave us mumbling around a bit. Things that once seemed so important in one season of life can quickly become insignificant in a new season of life. Different planning, organisation structures and routines are needed for each changing season.
βI believe in the process. I believe in four seasons. I believe that winterβs tough, but springβs coming. I believe that thereβs a growing season. And I think that you realise that in life, you grow. You get better.β
~ Steve Southerland
During these life shifts, I have to constantly remind myself to be kind and patient with myself. There will be seasons of life for highly focused, productive living and other seasons of life for a very different focus.
Just a quick reminder today, no matter what season of life you’re in, remember to be patient and kind to yourself!
“Be aware of what season you are in and give yourself the grace to be there.”
It has been said before that the only constant in life is – CHANGE. These seasons will come and go many times throughout your life. Learn to dance with them. Embrace each changing of the seasons in stride. It is our duty to honour the seasons when they come and to fully experience and appreciate what they have to offer us.
The truth of the matter is that you never really possess anything – everything in nature is constantly in flux. Life is found in yielding to the river – yielding to the seasons – and allowing the universe to take you on the adventure that it wants you to have. When we embrace every season of our lives fully and stop resisting, we become more alive.
How would you define the season of life you are in right now?
