Ingredients:
- 2 cups of fresh spinach
- I cup of chopped kale
- Juice from 1/2 a lemon
- 1 medium-sized banana, sliced
- 1 apple, cored and chopped
- 1 cup of frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 cup of plain Greek yoghurt
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- 1 cup of almond milk (or any non-dairy milk of your choice)
- Ice (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the spinach & kale leaves and place them in a blender.
- Add the sliced banana, chopped apple, frozen mixed berries, Greek yoghurt, and honey (if using) to the blender.
- Pour in the almond milk (or other non-dairy milk) + juice from 1/2 a lemon and blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
- Add ice (if desired) and blend again until the smoothie reaches your desired consistency.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy!
This green smoothie is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from spinach, berries, and apple, while Greek yoghurt provides a good source of protein and calcium. The honey adds a touch of sweetness, but you can skip it if you prefer a less sweet smoothie.
