Do you approve?

It’s such a powerful question and it’s who you’re asking that will either keep you playing life small or help you step up into a more fully expressed version of you.

When you ask for everyone else’s approval you outsource your emotional well-being and your outcomes. You give away all your power. You stay stuck playing life small.

When you ask yourself for approval, you take back your power to decide how you think and feel in every moment and create the results you truly desire in your life.

Now let me be clear – asking yourself for approval does not mean holding yourself to ransom against some crazed level of perfectionism. That my friends (and I know first hand) will keep you stuck in an impossible place of never being enough.

It also doesn’t mean you let yourself off the hook.

But rather, seeking your own approval means holding yourself accountable to YOUR values, YOUR dreams and YOUR results from a place of respect, grace and love for the woman you have been, the woman you are in this moment and the woman you are becoming.

It’s about asking yourself from a place of compassion, is what I’m doing in this moment in alignment with my dreams and the woman I desire to become?

And when you ask for your own approval above anyone else’s it doesn’t mean you are conceited, self-centred or a narcissist.

It means you love and respect yourself enough to make decisions that in the end help you to become a better version of yourself so you can make a more meaningful and powerful impact in other lives of people you love.

Approving of yourself means having your own back, it means setting high standards for yourself based on your core values and beliefs, and it’s about drawing a line in the sand for what you will and won’t tolerate in your life anymore – first and foremost from yourself and then from others.

Seeking your own approval is very powerful. It’s one of the most fundamental ways you can grow into a better version of yourself and it can elevate your life to extraordinary levels.

Who are you currently asking for approval and what would change for you if you gave that approval to yourself right now in this moment?
