Some ideas arrive slowly, taking years to form. Others land in your soul like a lightning bolt – and three weeks ago, that’s exactly what happened to me.
I had the idea for The Sattva Collective – a CIC (Community Interest Company) created to serve, uplift and inspire midlife South Asian Women – and I knew in my bones that it wasn’t just a passing thought. It was a calling.
Today, I’m proud to share that The Sattva Collective has officially launched!

And I’ll be honest: I didn’t expect it to happen this fast. I didn’t overthink it. I didn’t have a five-year plan. I just moved with the momentum of purpose, and what I couldn’t stop thinking about became something I’m now building in real time.
Why I Created The Sattva Collective
Midlife can feel like a quiet season of disappearing, especially for South Asian Women. Between caregiving, cultural pressures, and careers, our own needs and dreams often fall to the bottom of the list.
I’ve lived that silence. I’ve walked through those lonely transitions. And I also know how powerful it is to be witnessed, supported, and celebrated in midlife – not for what you do, but for who you are becoming.
The Sattva Collective was born from that truth. It’s not just a platform or a project – it’s a movement. A home for honest conversations, cultural nuance, courage, creativity, and community.
What This Launch Means to Me
Launching something this personal, this purposeful, in such a short space of time has cracked me wide open.
It’s reminded me that we don’t always need years of preparation. Sometimes, the most powerful work begins when we simply say yes.
I didn’t wait to have everything figured out.
I didn’t wait until I felt “ready.”
I just started.
And if you’re reading this with a dream sitting on your heart, please take this as your sign: You’re allowed to begin now.
Practical Advice: If You’ve Been Sitting on a Vision
- Stop waiting for perfection. The clarity you seek will come through action, not planning.
- Start with why. If your vision is rooted in service and meaning, it will find a way to grow.
- Don’t be afraid to make it official. Whether it’s a CIC, a website, a project or a passion – making it real puts energy behind it.
- Tell your people. When I shared The Sattva Collective on social, the love and support reminded me that this isn’t just my idea – it’s ours.
Journaling Prompts for the Woman Who’s Ready to Begin
- What am I no longer willing to sit on or silence?
- What’s one dream or idea I’ve been putting off until I feel “ready”?
- If I gave myself full permission to start something meaningful this month, what would it be?
My Commitment Going Forward
The Sattva Collective will be a space where:
- Midlife South Asian women are seen, heard, and valued.
- Conversations about identity, confidence, menopause, motherhood, ambition and legacy are normalised.
- Coaching, community and creativity come together to spark real transformation.
We’re planning our first Midlife by Design Summit for January 2026, and I can already feel the impact it will have.
For now, I’m focused on building slow, steady and strong. Laying the foundation for something lasting. Something rooted in integrity, inclusivity, and inspiration.
