When it comes to transforming your health, Scott Harrison believes it starts from the inside out, and far beyond the gym. As the founder of The Six Pack Revolution and Pause by Six, Scott has spent years guiding thousands through life-changing journeys that blend fitness, nutrition, mindset, and community. His programmes have redefined what strength looks like, particularly for women navigating midlife, menopause, and the shifting relationship with their bodies that comes with it. What sets him apart isn’t just the science or structure, it’s his heart-led, holistic approach. Scott understands that real transformation isn’t just about reps and recipes; it’s about rebuilding trust in yourself, rewiring your mindset, and discovering that you are capable of far more than you’ve been led to believe.

You’ve built your work around a marriage of fitness, nutrition, mindset, and community. What was the seed moment when you realised that change in health isn’t just physical, but deeply psychological and social?
I realised early on in my own journey and then with tens of thousands of others over the years that even perfect training and nutrition won’t stick if your mindset and support network aren’t in place. Fitness is just one piece of the jigsaw. Real transformation is a mental, social, physical and emotional journey that needs a change in relationship with food, drink and yourself. This is why I focus so much on the mental side as well as the exercise and nutrition, and that is why our results outperform all others worldwide.

With Pause by Six focused on menopause and midlife, how did you first come to see that there was a gap in how fitness programs approach this life stage? What was missing in standard fitness plans?
It became very apparent that our programme was changing lives immeasurably, especially in the world of menopause. Ladies could not believe how quickly their symptoms were being brought to a much more manageable level or into complete remission with the correct nutrition and exercise plan, so I decided to take what we already knew and already did, fine-tune it and wrap it in menopause. Most fitness programmes ignore the reality of menopause and why so many ladies feel lost, without help and frustrated. Women were being given generic workouts and diets that didn’t respect their changing bodies.
Pause by Six fills that gap in not only managing menopause symptoms but creating strength, energy, and confidence, including unbelievable visual results with unwavering live support in a safe space all day, every day. Tailored low-impact weight training, Pilates classes, balanced nutrition and mindful meditation all add to the 360 approach. True transformation takes consistency, and that has to be nurtured for it to remain a part of you going forward. Combine that with experts on all things menopause sharing their wisdom through many live Zooms with Q&A has shown to be the ultimate recipe for success in all areas of life.
“Nourishing your body will by default nourish your mind, and together they will create the most powerful partnership, where you will realise that anything is possible.”
~ Scott Harrison
How do you balance transformation goals (e.g. strength, physique, fat loss) with sustainability, especially for women navigating hormonal shifts, menopause, or metabolic change?
When you feed the human body how it should be fed, then all of these goals and wins support each other. Consistency beats extremes, and because we live with you all day, every day, we can adapt training to all abilities. Through all aspects of the programme, we can increase metabolism, building a balanced machine that works at its optimum, so results are more sustainable. At the end of the programme, I teach everyone how to keep their results and still party twice per week! However, if you go back to eating and drinking exactly how you did before, you will end up where you were before, and nothing will change that.
“If you want your life to change, you have to change your life.”
~ Scott Harrison
Your 75-day programme under The Six Pack Revolution is intense. How do you design it so it both challenges people and protects them from burnout, injury, or overwhelm?
I run live Zooms and explain how to adapt exercises to ability, as there is always an “easier” version of all exercises. We have a range of 18 to 86-year-old men and women on The Six Pack Revolution. We use structured progression; every exercise can be modified if necessary, and rest days are compulsory. We have a whole “prep week” before we start, where I simplify and explain everything. Also, mental preparation is just as important as physical training, and we teach clients how to listen to their bodies, manage stress, and celebrate small wins. My team and I are available every day, seven days a week, and we help thousands mentally, physically and emotionally all through the programme, but ultimately it is the participant’s responsibility to look after themselves. Remember… challenging doesn’t have to mean unsustainable.

Midlife women often talk about feeling invisible or trapped by their changing bodies. What is it about your methodology or messaging that tries to speak to that, to help women reclaim agency?
Well, I’d like to think my team and I created something that speaks to women in their own language at this time of life, validating the physical and emotional changes they’re experiencing and giving them a safe space to not only talk but also to support each other in moving forward to a life-changing experience. Our programme focuses on mental empowerment, strength, posture, resilience and nutrition, creating habits that give outstanding tangible results. When women see that their bodies and minds can respond so drastically, even in midlife, it reignites confidence. And let’s not look over the fact that when you look in the mirror and love the body looking back at you, that is wonderful.
“Raise yourself so high that no negativity can reach you.”

What role do community, accountability, and coaching play in your programmes? Why do you think that element is so often the difference between someone quitting or sticking it out?
Community and support are essential, and the way we do it is unique. Transformation is tough, and having peers who understand your journey creates accountability, motivation and resilience. Also, having others on all different journeys working together to support each other to overcome the obstacles is paramount. Our live coaching personalises the programme and helps navigate through the programme. Participants keep going because they feel part of something bigger; they keep going because they feel supported, seen and committed to. This is something a PDF or app alone can never provide. We also have the bonus of tens of thousands of results that scream out and prove, “If you stick to this plan, you win!” Therefore, the participants know that it will be life-changing, no ifs, buts or maybes.
“To grow, you must take a step into the unknown. When you take that step outside your comfort zone you will naturally feel a moment of ‘what if’. However, if you never step outside your comfort zone, you will live a life of ‘what if’.”
~ Scott Harrison
Nutrition is central in your books and programmes (“Eat Your Way to a Six-Pack,” high-protein meals). How do you adapt or evolve nutritional guidance for women in menopause or perimenopause, whose bodies respond differently?
Actually, this is where I may throw a spanner in the works. The ultimate goal is to feed the human body how it should be fed, which actually is quite simple: a balanced plate of food, balanced throughout the day with plenty of hydration. This premise that each lady needs to eat differently depending on age, weight, time of life, etc., I don’t completely buy into. The body is built to look after itself as long as you nourish it correctly. Each meal and snack should have a correct balance of protein, carbs and fats each time we eat, and of course, all foods will have a variety of different vitamins, minerals and botanicals, etc. We focus on protein-rich, nutrient-dense meals to preserve muscle mass, reduce inflammation and stabilise energy and mood, but we would eat the same regardless of menopause. Flexibility and sustained adherence are key, and we have huge success not just with the management of menopause but with literally everything, including all chronic illnesses.
“It really doesn’t have to be perfect to be perfect.”
~ Scott Harrison

Many people in midlife struggle with setbacks, illness, injury, plateaus, and life demands. What mindset shifts or strategies do you teach clients to navigate those moments?
I try to teach people to accept that life is full of obstacles and that there are no straight lines to the top. I try to help people stop making excuses and approach life from a different perspective, one that has an “I CAN” mentality. We make it clear that every scenario is an opportunity to move forward physically, mentally and emotionally, and also to try to enjoy even the toughest of challenges. It’s all part of the process and about progress, not perfection, and within that imperfection, the perfect outcome can be reached. We preach self-love, compassion, and tracking wins beyond the number on the scales. Life happens to all of us, but with the right mindset, participants learn to adapt and keep moving forward.
“Use life’s obstacles as a reason to fight, not an excuse to fall.”
~ Scott Harrison
As your brand expands, how do you preserve integrity, science, safety, and personal care for participants, especially those who may have joint issues, hormone challenges, or chronic conditions?
Science and safety are non-negotiable. Every programme is designed with input from experts in medicine, physiotherapy, nutrition and psychology. I have a world-class team that consists of a GP, Doctor of Biochemistry, Doctor of Chiropractic, Nutritionist, CBT Therapist and Trauma Consultant, Mental Health Practitioner and Sports Psychologist, not to mention myself, who is a Celebrity PT, Sunday Times Bestselling Author, Black Belt Karate Instructor, Psychology Diploma holder, Motivational Speaker, Magician and Accredited Menopause Wellness Practitioner. We provide modifications where needed, monitor feedback closely, and continually update protocols based on the latest research. Expansion doesn’t mean compromise, and of course, every participant’s health is our priority. Once again, though, this is an online programme, so it is the participant’s responsibility to look after themselves.
“You are no good to anyone unless you are good to yourself.”

Looking back on the transformations you’ve witnessed, what is the most surprising or inspiring story (especially from a midlife woman) that reassured you that this work matters? And what might she teach other women?
Wow, that’s a tough one to answer, as we have had thousands and thousands of life-changing stories. I guess what never ceases to amaze me is how effective fitness, nutrition and mindset are. In so many cases, just a switch in these disciplines can be far more effective than medical intervention and also so much quicker, too. We have many ladies who come to us who have tried everything from medicine to all kinds of remedies and not seen much difference, yet after a few weeks on our programme and the symptoms are brought to a much more manageable level or into complete remission. Also, please understand that it’s not just for menopause as we have this success in all chronic illnesses too, like for example ME, MS, Fibromyalgia, Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, Psoriasis, Eczema, Hashimoto’s, Lymphoedema, Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, IBS, Crohn’s, Sleep Apnoea, Scoliosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome… I could go on. So you really are what you eat. Let’s not forget the almost unbelievable visual transformations, too. All it takes is a decision to want more for yourself and your life, and that starts and ends with your health.
“Everything you have, everything you are and everything you are to become is reliant on your health. This must be your number one priority, for if you lose that, you lose everything.”
~ Scott Harrison
