When You Show Up as You, Your People Find You

There’s something deeply sacred about being seen, not for the polished version of yourself, but for the real, raw, soul-deep woman you are.

This morning, I had the most beautiful conversation with the Founder of South Asian Voices CIC in Bristol. What began as a chat quickly evolved into something more aligned and expansive.

She invited me to be a guest on her podcast radio show and then to run a midlife and menopause workshop this August in Bristol.

We’re joining forces to raise awareness for South Asian women navigating midlife and menopause, and honestly, it feels like a full-circle moment.

Because here’s what I’m learning (again and again):
When you show up as your authentic self, no masks, no trying to impress – you naturally attract those who resonate with your energy, your story, your heart.
And from there, magic happens.

This collaboration didn’t come from chasing.
It came from alignment.
From living what I teach.
From doing the quiet, unglamorous inner work and sharing the journey openly.

It’s one thing to encourage women to take up space in midlife, to honour their bodies, their truth, their becoming…
But it’s another thing entirely to be the woman who lives it.
To show up fully.
To walk your talk.
To give from your overflow, not your exhaustion.
To lead with heart and stay grounded in your why.

Because truthfully?
There are days I feel lost or disconnected, too.
Days I question the pace, the direction, the “shoulds.”
And when those moments come – and they do come – I gently ask myself:
Am I doing this because I want to… or because I feel I have to?

That question is a homecoming.

It reminds me to slow down.
To come back to my why.
To refill my own cup before I pour into anyone else’s.
Because I’ve learnt (the hard way) that giving from a place of depletion only leads to resentment.
But giving from abundance? That changes lives – including mine.

And something else clicked for me this week…
When I’m around women who are passionate, curious, purpose-driven – something in me comes alive.
I find myself lighting up. Becoming animated. Energised. Bold.
I move from introvert to full-on extrovert, thriving on the exchange of stories, truths, lessons and laughter.

It’s not about being the loudest in the room.
It’s about being the most connected to yourself and to those who truly get you.

So if you’re in a season where you’re questioning things – your voice, your impact, your path – just know this:

Your people are looking for you, too.
Keep showing up as you.
Keep curating your tribe with intention.
Keep honouring your journey, even when it’s messy.

Because when you do?
The right doors open.
The right conversations flow.
The right women say, “I see you. Let’s rise together.”

And that, my Love, is where everything begins to bloom.
