When Self-Love Becomes a Way of Living
Today was slow and soulful in all the right ways. No pressure. No noise. Just presence.
I pottered around our Home, tending to it like a sacred space rather than just a place to live. The kind of tending that isn’t about perfection – it’s about love. I decluttered, simplified, and deep-cleaned. Filled up a whole second bag with things that no longer serve me. Excess. Old weight. Quiet noise. Gone.

I went for a walk, bought groceries, drank my tea slowly, and moved through the day without a checklist. And in the stillness, I noticed something big, something quiet but profound: I feel good in my own life.
I didn’t realise how much I’d been holding on to until I let it go.
And maybe that’s the real shift.
Because the moment you start loving yourself, truly loving yourself, is the moment the universe leans in and says,
“Finally… she sees what I’ve always known.”
When you stop chasing love outside and begin finding it within, everything changes. You carry yourself differently. You speak to yourself with more compassion. You treat your heart the way you once wished someone else would.
And that energy?
It doesn’t go unnoticed.
The world starts mirroring it back.
People feel your glow, your calm, your strength – and they come closer, not because you called them, but because you’re standing in a light they recognise. A light you finally see in yourself.
This isn’t just about loving your life. It’s about loving yourself enough to live it intentionally.
No longer settling.
No longer chasing what doesn’t bring peace.
Walking away from what drains.
Standing tall in what nourishes.
Because self-love isn’t just a feeling. It’s a force.
A protection.
A guide.
A quiet revolution that teaches the world how to treat you.
And today, in the middle of wiping down shelves and sipping tea, I decided something:
- I’m going to practise a 4-day work week from now on.
- My weekends – Friday to Sunday – are sacred.
- Like in Norway, where life slows down and people live.
- I want to live.
Not just work. Not just build.
But rest. Breathe. Watch Netflix. Tend to my home.
Sit in nature. Listen to the silence.
Do nothing when my heart says nothing needs to be done.
This isn’t a new productivity hack. This is a boundary. A reclaiming. A reminder that I get to choose how I live.
And when we choose ourselves… the right doors open.
The right people arrive.
The right blessings unfold.
Not through effort. But through alignment.
So here I am, choosing myself again and again.
Not because I’ve perfected anything, but because I’ve come home to my truth.
And I think the universe is falling in love with me…
Because I finally fell in love with myself.
