Live a Well-Designed Life Quality of Life

Take a break from what you are doing

When you own a business or just really love what you do, you probably find yourself working all the time – I know I do at times… I just get carried away. However, it is important to have a Work & Life Balance and have passions outside of work. It’s not only healthy but also essential to spend time doing other things that you’re passionate about; things that make you smile, feel alive and bring you happiness.

We often forget about all the abundance we have in our lives… the abundance of health, love, happiness, peace…instead we can get caught up in the chaos of this fast pace lifestyle of career, family… and all the responsibilities in between… The more we chose to find and feel grateful, thankful, appreciative, even amongst the chaos…the more we strengthen our feelings of happiness, joy, passion…

Because here’s the thing; if we don’t have it or feel it on our inside world, we won’t have it in our outside world…

You may notice signs; mental, emotional, and physical – that tells that you need to slow down and relax. We are so involved in things that are external to us, however, we may easily overlook what is really going on inside of us.

It is during these times that we need to step back from the things that occupy our minds and take time out to connect with our inner-self, giving our minds, bodies, and spirits the time they need to re-energise and heal.

At first, it may seem that by taking a break we may not be as productive as we would initially like. In reality, a healthy period of rest is something that gives us a real sense of our true potential.

Pay more attention to your thoughts today & make the decision to really focus on what you want. We all have thousands of thoughts every day – how many of them are helping you to get to where you want to be? How many of them make you feel good? How many of them hold you back? How many make you feel bad? Pay attention and then choose to focus on the thoughts that are making you feel good, that are helping you. #inspiration #motivation #empowerment #PersonalDevelopment #Lifestyle #Abundance #DesignTheLifestyleYouDesire #growth #reflection #LifeCoach #gratitude #selflove #selfworth #success #mindset #goalsetting #selfgrowth #dailyinspiration #personalgrowth #BlissfulForties #Over40 #40s #TheMindfulLife #livebeautifully #theeverydayproject #liveauthentic #BlissfulFortiesLounge

Spending some time walking outside, doing a few yoga poses, meditating, or simply tuning in to our breath enables us to let go of our worries. This brings our focus back to the things that are truly essential for us; our inner peace and well-being.

As we begin to get in touch with this part of ourselves, we will find that our usual everyday troubles and worries become less critical and that we not only have much more room in our lives to really reflect on the issues that mean the most to us, but we are also able to bring to all the situations we encounter a much more positive and healthy outlook.

I am very intentional about living in the present moment, being super aware of my feelings, not letting the past define the future… nor attaching to the future… instead celebrating all I have every single moment… each day?

Everything is a choice… so I choose to celebrate filling my mind with positive thoughts so I can truly have more positive moments in my life? The smell of something baking in the oven. The sound of the rain falling outside. The beauty of the changing leaves. The smile on Khushi’s face when she comes home from school. These are the things I live for. These are the moments I cherish. Just the simple pleasures in life that we so often take for granted! ⠀⠀

So stop what you’re doing, turn off your phone and go and do something that brings you joy.
