Describe yourself in 5 words

Fun, down-to-earth, lucky, uncompromising, ambitious.

What inspires you?

The possibilities that business can give women – the freedom, financial opportunity and satisfaction. I think it’s the best time in history to be a female entrepreneur.

I’m good at…

Motivating and inspiring people to create change in their life. I was the same even in Primary School – I’d give my friends little pep talks. Now I do it for a living!

I’m bad at…

Cleaning! I had to clean my office the other day and I had such a short attention span. I get distracted after five minutes. It’s much easier for me to hire a cleaner.

Who’s your favourite Style Icon?

I love people who have a relaxed chillionaire vibe – like Kate Hudson. She always looks like she could have come straight from the beach – even at red carpet events. Sunny, friendly and glam!

The most inspirational person you have met?

Without a doubt, Oprah. To tell her in person that she inspired me to break the cycle of my family was one of the highlights of my life. And she told me she liked my outfit!

What’s your favourite location?

In theory, I LOVE the beach, but I rarely go, and when I do, I don’t swim and hate to get sand all over me! So in reality, my favourite location is sitting in a really comfy chair in a bookshop.

What is your background?

I grew up mostly on the Central Coast, NSW raised by my single mum. I was the first person in my family to go to university, moved to London in my twenties and met my hubby, Mark. Started a few blogs, decided to become a life coach and now run a successful 7-figure business from home, teaching thousands of women around the world how to release their money blocks.

What are the highlights of your career?

The first month I made money in my business was really exciting. Within a few months, I had my first sold-out workshop. Afterwards, I went to the fanciest restaurant in town and ordered a glass of champagne while I mentally affirmed, “Universe – more of this please!” It’s been all pretty awesome since then!

What are your goals for the next 5 years?

The next five years for me are all about growing our family, finding our dream home and setting down some roots.

Business-wise, I want to keep growing Lucky Bitch into a very stable company that continues to impact women on a massive scale, including growing our student numbers and increasing our philanthropic efforts!

How did the name Lucky Bitch come about?

When I started learning about the Law of Attraction, I had some pretty freaky things happen. I started winning at Bingo, won every door prize, etc. My friends started calling me lucky. When I won a six-month all-expenses-paid trip around the world, they started calling me a “lucky bitch”.

So I thought I’d claim that – and show other women how to lead a lucky life too.

How did you get started with Lucky Bitch?

I started a weekly discipline of blogging about personal development and coaching clients on achieving big goals. Gradually I started to find my unique voice and got very clear on what I do – I help female entrepreneurs clear their money blocks.

But in the early days, I helped everyone with everything, which is fine for a while but can lead to burn-out and unclear messaging.

How did you develop the concept of Lucky Bitch?

I noticed how so many of my life coaching and business clients were struggling with money. Not necessarily about how to get clients or do their actual business, but there was something holding them back from making money. Guilt, shame and fear of money.

So I decided to create a course around it.

Tell me more about Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp.

The Lucky Bitch Money Bootcamp is a community of women who are changing their relationship with money. It’s an online course with an in-depth exploration of money, and a live community of women all around the world.

We’ve had over 2500 women go through the course, and the results are astounding. When you change the way you think, feel and talk about money – it can change your life in profound ways. I’m so proud of every single one of our students for being brave enough to explore their relationship with money.

Tell me about your first two books.

My first book, ‘Lucky Bitch‘ tells the inside story of how I manifested six months all expenses paid to travel around the world. It’s a lesson in consciously manifesting anything you want.

My second book, ‘Get Rich, Lucky Bitch‘ is my money manifesto, and it starts your exploration of your money blocks and why you might be unconsciously sabotaging your income and success.

Both are a fun, easy read, that will change your mindset too!

Check out all of my books here.

What are your top 10 tips to get financial freedom?

  1. Read my book, Get Rich, Lucky Bitch!
  2. Track your income daily. Even the money you find on the street.
  3. Forgive yourself for past money mistakes, especially debt.
  4. Define what “Financial Freedom” means to you. It’s too vague otherwise.
  5. Stop bitching about money.
  6. When you find yourself feeling jealous of others, affirm to yourself, “It’s my time, good things are happening to me too”
  7. Understand and explore why you sabotage your income.
  8. Give yourself permission to be rich, even if it upsets other people in your life.
  9. Find a group of supportive people who also like to talk about money and success.
  10. Join my Money Bootcamp!

What do you have to say to the next generation, particularly for those hoping to follow in your footsteps?

There’s never been a better time to start – and you don’t have to be perfect. Perfectionists are always unhappy, and just showing up 80% is enough to get what you want in life.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given?

From Oprah: YOU ARE ENOUGH. It’s life-changing.

What is your most treasured possession?

I’m not that sentimental and I’m always de-cluttering, but in almost every photo you see of me, I’m wearing my Thomas Sabo Wheel of Karma necklace. I got it from my husband for my first Mother’s Day. It’s pretty special and I love wearing it.

What is your must-have item for next season?

You can never go wrong with a kaftan!

In a nutshell, your philosophy is…

Throw everything at it. Your dreams are too important to leave to chance.
