From Pizza to Purpose: The Unexpected Ways We Feel Aligned

This morning started slowly – the way I love it. I stayed in bed just a little longer, snuggled up under the duvet, windows wide open, and that beautiful cool breeze drifting through the room. There’s something about those quiet, in-between moments, wrapped in stillness, that just anchors me.

The day had an unexpected nostalgia woven through it, too – I popped over to IKEA with a friend, picking up a few essentials. It always makes me smile being there. It connects me straight back to my childhood in Norway… the simplicity, the cosiness, the memories. There’s something comforting about surrounding myself with pieces that feel familiar.

It’s also been a big day for The Sattva Collective – finally getting our PayPal sorted (those admin bits always take longer than expected!), our second director officially accepted, our Crowdfunder fundraising page complete, you can peek here if you fancy supporting. I also shared the next Midlife Circle Meet-Up date… things are slowly unfolding, and I’m here for it.

Confession though… I scoffed down an entire pizza by myself today! In my defence, I barely had breakfast, then ended up going for a long walk with Khushi instead of having lunch – so, pizza was practically self-care at that point.

But here’s what’s really been sitting with me since last night – something Danny Morel said at the Awaken Your Highest Self event last month has been circling my mind:

“Money is a reflection of how I feel about myself.”

At first, I thought – naturally – how I feel about myself is tied to how I look: always well-dressed, jewellery, makeup done, that whole polished version of me. And sure, that helps, but the real moments I’ve been feeling good about myself lately? They’ve had nothing to do with lipstick or outfits.

It’s when I’ve shown up for others… when my brother or my friend calls to share they’ve been doing the inner child work, and had a breakthrough. When a reader, a subscriber, or someone I’ve collaborated with says they see me, they resonate with the raw, honest way I show up, and that my words remind them they’re not alone. When the women at the Midlife Circle tell me how grateful they are for this space, for sisterhood.

It hit me… as much as I adore the idea of always being the well-put-together woman, truthfully? That’s not fully me in this season of life. I still brush up pretty well – let’s be real! But these days, my deepest confidence? It’s stitched together through connection, impact, community… through living aligned, not just looking the part.

And the most beautiful part? I can become her – the radiant, pulled-together version of me – whenever I choose. But my worth? It’s already here. It shows up every time I pour into others, every time I follow through, every time I remind myself… I’m already enough.
