Auditing My Home, Letting Go of My Past Self

I’ve shared this a few times over the past week, but it’s been my gentle focus lately…
Decluttering. Simplifying. Organising. Deep cleaning our little sanctuary – our Home.

There’s something so grounding about pouring love and presence back into our space – fluffing the cushions, clearing the corners, giving everything a good cleanse. But today, as I was pottering around, I had a quiet realisation…

We always talk about auditing our lives, right?
Checking in with our routines, our relationships, our goals…
But when was the last time we audited our home?

As I’ve been working through cupboards, drawers, and shelves, I kept coming across things I’ve held onto. Things that once made sense, things I once thought I needed, things I bought for some future version of me. Clothes with tags still on. Books never opened. Trinkets that sat untouched, waiting for the perfect moment to be enjoyed.

But here’s the truth that landed gently today –
That version of Kiran?
She doesn’t exist anymore.
And holding onto the things she bought, the things she thought she needed, only weighs me down.

The woman I am today – the one I’m still becoming – she values space.
Simplicity.
Energy that feels light, aligned, and intentional.
And all these “one day” things?
They no longer add value to my life, my home, or my becoming.

So, today’s quiet reminder is this:
Audit your home, Love.
Just like you’d audit your life.
Part ways with what no longer fits, what no longer reflects the woman you are today.
Create space – not just in your cupboards, but in your mind, your energy, your life – for what actually matters in this season.

There’s a soft kind of freedom that comes with letting go.
And there’s beauty in the space we create – for ourselves, for our growth, for the life that feels good now, not “one day.”
